Marya Mayan is a Saudi artist and art market strategy consultant based in Riyadh. She studied Art Education at Taibah University, trained in drawing and sculpture at the GEKO Institute of Art in Florence, and studied the art market at Sotheby's Institute of Art and Christie's education programs in London.
She began her path in Medina, founding Mayan Art and leading more than fifty art programs and projects. Today she advises artists, collectors, companies, and institutions on positioning, pricing, acquisition, and collection building, and has worked on institutional collections including that of Jadwa Investment.
Alongside her consulting, she maintains an artistic practice across drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, sound, video, and artificial intelligence, investigating the reciprocal relationship between what shapes our consciousness and what we make in the world. She has also built an Arabic-language audience specialized in art and its market as a content creator, and spoke at TEDx Riyadh. Her work spans practice, consulting, education, and cultural project development, letting her see art across its full life cycle, from the forming of an idea to its position within culture and the economy.
